- Coordinate with the marketing/technical team when specialist input is required.
5. Proposal & Quotation
- Prepare proposals, quotations and presentations.
- Coordinate internally to obtain service costing and technical details.
- Customize proposals according to client requirements.
- Ensure proposals clearly communicate problem → solution → deliverables → investment → process.
6. Follow-Up & Conversion

- Track every lead through the sales pipeline.
- Follow up through phone, email, WhatsApp and meetings as appropriate.
- Understand objections related to pricing, trust, timing, competition and requirements.

- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Ability to speak confidently with business owners
- Good understanding of digital marketing
- Ability to understand websites and basic SEO
- Good presentation and proposal-writing skills
- Strong follow-up discipline
- Good research and analytical ability
- CRM/Excel/Google Sheets knowledge
- Ability to work with targets and deadlines
- Ability to explain technical services in simple language
Preferred Digital Marketing Knowledge
The candidate should have a working understanding of:
SEO | Local SEO | Google Business Profile | Social Media Marketing | PPC/Google Ads | Meta Ads | Website Development | Content Marketing | Email Marketing | Lead Generation | AI Search/GEO
They don’t necessarily need to be an expert in each area—the important thing is that they can understand the business problem and know which internal specialist should handle the solution.
KPIs / Performance Areas
I would avoid measuring this role only by “number of calls.”
| Area | KPI |
|---|---|
| Prospecting | Qualified prospects generated |
| Lead Generation | Qualified leads |
| Meetings | Sales/requirement meetings conducted |
| Proposals | Relevant proposals submitted |
| Conversion | New clients acquired |
| Revenue | New business revenue |
| Follow-up | Follow-up completion rate |
| Client Retention | Repeat/renewal business |
| Referrals | Referral opportunities generated |
| CRM | Accuracy and consistency of pipeline |
Important distinction
For a company like Clarifu, the BDM should not simply sell packages.
A better operating principle is:
Find the business problem → understand the requirement → identify the appropriate digital solution → explain it clearly → follow up professionally → convert and retain the client.
